On September 27 and 28, 2023, The PAI’s GFF NGO Host project team conducted the second series of workshops on CSO Guide to the GFF Investment Case (GFF IC).

These workshop sessions were attended by 64 participants from 28 partner organizations across 15 countries: Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Madagascar, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Vietnam and Zimbabwe.

The objectives of the workshop were to:

1) Understand the background, basis and stages of the GFF IC.

2) Identify key points of engagement in the GFF IC design and development stages.

Participants also discussed challenges and strategies for engaging their respective country stakeholders’ platforms in the development, implementation and evaluation of the investment case.

A number of participants offered to share the result of their analysis of their engagement strategies and successes in securing government commitment to include civil society in the future planning and reviews of GFF/Government financing of SRMNCAH-N initiatives.
