On October 13, 2023, in the framework of the Civil Society Policy Forum (CSPF) of the World Bank Group-IMF 2023 Annual Meetings in Marrakech, Morocco, the GYP and the CSCG collaborated on an important CSPF panel session. This session, titled “Harnessing the Power of Youth and Adolescents: Advancing Health and Nutrition Through Inclusive Global Partnerships,” brought together a diverse panel and audience of youth-led organizations and CSOs to explore the pivotal role of youth in multi-stakeholder governance for global health and nutrition.
The session focused on the unique value of young people and adolescents in advancing health and nutrition on a global scale. Panelists from Guatemala, Pakistan, Ugand, and the GFF shared insights and experiences on youth engagement in GFF partner countries in Africa, Asia and Latin Ameria, highlighting the transformative impact of multi-stakeholder partnerships in amplifying youth voices for more informed and impactful decisions.
The session aimed to foster lively discussions, encouraging active participation and collaboration among stakeholders to devise and showcase inclusive strategies. It emphasized the impact and role of empowering youth to drive change and ensure a healthier future for all, through the lens of the GFF. The CSPF panel session provided a platform for inclusive dialogue and the exchange of ideas on youth-led initiatives, barriers to youth engagement and scaling up successful projects. This event was also an opportunity to recall the importance of the ongoing GFF Deliver The Future resource mobilization campaign in advancing youth involvement in global health and nutrition efforts.
All October 13 CSPF sessions recordings will soon be available on the webpage of the 2023 CSPF.
